 คริส เคยพูดถึงเพลงนี้ไว้ว่า 

มันก็เหมือนความรักที่มีต่อใครสักคนหนึ่ง ที่อยากจะทำทุกอย่างเพื่อเขา 

อยากจะเขียนเพลงให้เขา ยอมข้ามน้ำข้ามทะเลไปหาเขา และมันก็ไม่ใช่แค่ความรักของคู่รักเท่านั้นค่ะ

ส่วนสาเหตุที่ว่าทำไมต้องเป็นสีเหลือง (Yellow) คริสบอกว่า

"It was simply because that word sounded nice, it just seemed to fit,
